Bringing together a community of climbers!
Before joining the Climbing Club in December 2019, I wanted to climb peaks but didn't know how to find my community. On my very first trip, I discovered a supportive group of knowledgeable climbers that helped me grow from a strong hiker into a technically skilled climber and mountaineer. I now support the club as the director in order to continue to develop the community that has been so instrumental in my personal growth.

Silver Star Peak May 2019
What a beautiful glacier climb! On this trip, I got to step up into a leadership role for the club. This trip reinforced for me that climbing has three major branches: technical, mental, and physical. Although I was still learning my technical skills, I was able to help by talking to and motivating any mentally struggling team members. I really enjoy lifting others and helping them see that they can push through and find joy in the tired suffering.
